How we evaluate the effectiveness of SEN Provision
We continuously ensure the provision has a positive impact on the outcomes for all of our children/young people. We do this in a variety of ways, including:
- Robust evaluation of policy and practice
- Book and Planning scrutinies of SEND children
- Learning observations in class
- Pupil Voice and Parent Voice
- Parent questionnaire
- Staff voice questionnaire
- SENCo, SLT and Governor monitoring
- Termly report to the Governors
- Face to face meetings with SEN Governor
- Learning walks
- Appraisal objectives for teaching staff and teaching assistance
- Internal data and Pupil Progress meetings
- School staff meetings
- Staff reflection questionnaire
- Staff audit of skills to identify training needs
- Evaluation of our Assess, Plan, Do, Review approach
- Including SEN as part of our whole School Improvement Plan
